The Art Of Dress

Starting in fashion in New York City in 2004, fresh with a degree in industrial design, Anna Telcs-Druss worked for high-end houses designing accessories and hardware while managing production. In Seattle her experience led to shooting and styling for catalog and e-commerce. In London she worked for a fashion start-up, coaching students and emerging designers in the new fashion landscape. In Los Angeles, Telcs-Druss has been tailoring for commercials and celebrities for nearly a decade.

For the love of family and nature, Anna Telcs-Druss is now back in the Pacific Northwest where she was raised.

Throughout the 20+ years in the fashion industry, Anna Telcs-Druss has seen it all, from artisanal garment making in lively fashion districts with ‘old world’ crafters, to the advent of E-commerce, and the globalization and intensification of fast fashion. Becoming a tailor in 2018 and opening Telcs Studio was inspired by a deep-heart longing to find reciprocity within a wasteful industry. Buy once, buy right is a great practice and a good alteration will renew the life of a garment.

Anna Telcs-Druss researches the sociological and environmental imprint of fashion and honors the joy that comes from expressing oneself in garments. She is driven to help other’s better express themselves through informed choices while feeling ever more comfortable in their present body.

The benefit of creatively expressing oneself is multifaceted; by choosing well and keeping clothes out of the waste stream, the earth winks and breathes a sigh of relief.
